The challenge Anneday faced:
Switching fulfilment providers is often a technically complex process. For Anneday, it was crucial that international deliveries across Europe resumed as quickly and seamlessly as possible. In addition, there were specific requirements for processing additional order rules based on Shopify order notes, as well as a need for greater control over which products should be synchronized with the PostNL Fulfilment warehouse.
The Solution: KoneX acts as the intelligent bridge between Shopify and PostNL. In addition to the standard synchronization of products, orders, inventory, and Track & Trace, the KoneX team implemented unique custom functionalities:
- Smart Order Rules via Notes: KoneX automatically reads notes in Shopify orders and adds them as extra order lines for PostNL. This makes it possible to ship items that are not directly listed as products in the webshop.
- Advanced Shipping Logic: To prevent errors, KoneX filters out these extra lines again from the shipping confirmation before sending it back to Shopify, where those lines do not exist.
- Product Status Filter: Within KoneX, Anneday can now determine exactly which products are synchronized with PostNL based on their Shopify product status, ensuring maximum control and flexibility.
The Result: Thanks to KoneX, Anneday was able to quickly transition to their new fulfilment partner. The result is a fully automated international order flow that is less error-prone and provides the exact custom solutions Anneday needs for its daily operations.
