For many organizations, it seems logical that orders from an online sales platform are automatically routed to fulfillment. In practice, this often proves more difficult. Especially when systems cannot communicate directly with each other and standard automation is lacking.
For Alpine Hearing Protection, exactly that issue was at play. Alpine products are also sold through partner Ticketmaster, but the order flow to fulfillment partner Active Ants was not via a direct digital integration. This created a classic API barrier between sales and fulfillment.
From manual process to digital order flow
Orders received through Ticketmaster previously had to be processed and forwarded manually. That made the process slower and more prone to errors.
Using the KoneX iPaaS platform, this order flow is now automated. KoneX retrieves orders from Ticketmaster and ensures that they reach Active Ants with the correct data.
In doing so, KoneX also incorporates a number of important customization steps, including:
– Address validation and a smart address splitter
– Filtering of orders based on country
– Automatic translation of item numbers between Ticketmaster and Active Ants systems
Hierdoor kunnen systemen die oorspronkelijk niet goed op elkaar aansloten, toch samenwerken in één digitale workflow.
KoneX as a bridge between inflexible systems
The core of this solution is not only in automation, but mainly in bridging system boundaries.
Where direct integration was lacking and existing systems offered insufficient flexibility to solve this easily, KoneX filled in the missing link. This transformed a manual process into a reliable, digital chain between sales platform and fulfillment.
